MHS & MMS SOCCER PROGRAM
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
One of the Goal Club’s primary responsibilities is to raise money to fund our soccer program. The average annual program cost is quite significant and the volunteer effort is crucial to the success of the soccer program.
We need your help!
Please consider volunteering. We need volunteers to lead and/or coordinate various activities. Much of the actual work can be carried out through the combined efforts of players and parents.
Fundraiser Coordinators:
Corporate Sponsorships
Co-chair to work with experienced Bob Sabin to solicit local businesses for support of our program. Three levels of support with their company logo to be displayed on board just outside stadium and possibly on web site. (Chair: Greg Steele)
Kickoff Jamboree
Organize this crucial fundraising opportunity. Will need volunteers to help with the following tables: Registration, Goal Club Membership, Program and Program Ad Sales, Spirit wear, Season Passes, Photos, Check-Out. Event to be held in seminar room to facilitate business item discussion. (Chair: Ann Gronewald).
Program/Program Ad Sales
Put together a nice, simple program that players, especially seniors, can keep as a memento of the season. Includes program design and publishing,ad sales, thank you letters, and plaques. (Chair: __________,Co-chair:__________).
Concessions
Chair & Co-chair to communicate with each team coordinator to ensure coverage and equal family participation at each game. Explore new food ideas, i.e., pizza, BBQ, ballpark salads, combos, etc. to compliment hotdog's,hamburgers, and grilled chicken sandwiches. Ensure stand is open thirty minutes before each home game, line up food, check to see till has adequate amount of cash (1’s, quarters, etc.), and answer questions of parent workers. Team coordinators
to schedule parent workers and ensure equal family participation. V BoysCoord- TBD, V Girls Coord- TBD, JV Boys Chair- TBD, JV Girls Chair- TBD).
Spirit wear Sales
Identify and secure merchandise to be sold at games, pre-season pancake breakfast/dinner, and Kickoff Jamboree. Could also possibly be sold through web site. (Chair: Elaine Raines).
Banquets
Schedule First-Touch and Awards banquets. Schedule food service, facilities, and decorations. (Chair: __________, Co-chair:__________).
Communications
Manage PR with the press and communications with parents. Generate interest in the program and communicate schedules, etc. to players and families using the web site, e-mail, press releases, etc. (Chair: Kiki Hatcher).
Web Site
Develop, manage and update the web site. (Chair: Jenifer Brown).
Action Photography
Keep running picture of games and events to be used in the web site and communications. (Chair: __________).
Middle School Coordinator
Involve our middle school players and keep them informed about HS activities. (Chair: __________).
